UK: BP relaunches sale of North Sea oil fields

BP has relauched the
sale of stakes in a number of North Sea oil fields it agreed to sell to Premier Oil before the company was taken over by Chrysaor last year.
In June 2020 Premier Oil signed sale and purchase agreements ( SPAs ) with BP for the acquisition of BP’s interests in the
Andrew Area and its
Shearwater assets. Premier agreed to pay BP $210 million upon completion of the BP Acquisitions. In addition, pursuant to the terms of the SPAs, up to a further estimated $115 million would become payable by Premier to BP based on higher future oil and gas prices. This further consideration would be funded from the revenues of the acquired assets.
The Oil & Gas Authority (OGA) is seeking tenders from third parties with CCS project experience that aim to identify and describe risks and mitigations which must be considered as part of future carbon storage projects in the UK.

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has granted a licence to K-Electric for constructing and operating a gas pipeline for supplying RLNG for its 900 MWs power plant at Bin Qasim Power Complex (BQPS).
It is the first-ever license obtained by KE in the oil and gas sector and is a key step in ensuring that the upcoming BQPS III power plant receives the right amount of gas, at the right pressure. This milestone will go a long way in helping bridge the supply-demand gap in Karachi in the years to come.
In the notification issued on January 6, 2021, Ogra granted a license to K-Electric Limited to undertake regulated activity related to construction and operation of 14 inch diameter x 2.4 kilometre Natural Gas Pipeline along with ancillary/connected facilities for purpose of transmission of Natural Gas/RLNG from Tie-in Point, SSGC Custody Transfer Station located at Bin Qasim to KE Bin Qasim
