Shanghai Cooperation Organisation offer support to Beijing 2022 on visit Friday, 30 April 2021 Members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation have reportedly shown their support to Beijing 2022 on a visit to the Chinese city ahead of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation is a Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance, which includes China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan as permanent members. Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia are observer members, while Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia, Nepal, Turkey and Sri Lanka are classed as dialogue partners. The Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that around 40 representatives from the organisation visited Beijing’s Yanqing district, which will host competition at the Winter Olympics and Paralympics next year.
