Routes to London, Birmingham, Bristol, Belfast and Jersey will resume this weekend through easyJet, with more flights being added later in summer. Scottish regional airline Loganair has also announced the return of routes to Barra, Southampton, Campbeltown, Islay, Stornoway, Tiree, Shetland and Exeter. The World Duty Free store at Glasgow Airport has also reopened to customers following the easing of restrictions. Ronald Leitch, operations director at Glasgow Airport, said: “The airport has remained open throughout the pandemic to ensure a number of lifeline services including flights from the Scottish Islands and vital hub connectivity used by key workers could continue, so we have been preparing in order to scale up operations when it was possible for some domestic services to restart.
