Veolia (Paris:VIE) takes note of the press release issued on April 2, 2021 by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF, the French Stock Exchange Authority), which considers that the changes that Suez has made to the Dutch foundation, combined with its support for the proposal of the Ardian-GIP consortium negotiated and accepted by the Board of Directors, undermine the principles of transparency and integrity of the market, fairness of transactions and competition, and the free interplay of offers and counter-offers.
Once Suez has complied with the principles set out by the AMF, Veolia calls on Suez to enter into dialogue in order to calm the situation and allow the ambitious industrial project led by Veolia to be carried out in a constructive spirit that respects the interests of both companies, of healthy competition in France and, more broadly, of the French economy. Mostly in the developed countries, making state institutions autonomous is indeed a goal for attaining prosperity. Pakistan is also aiming towards this aspect and making institutions independent, including the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Though Pakistan has become independent and sovereign but it is still in a colonial mode. Hence, limited autonomy to the institutions may work well, as one cannot have a country which is in the colonial mode but whose institutions are fully autonomous and sovereign.

“Godzilla vs. Kong” proved that buzzy new movies can sell tickets, even if they’re already available to watch at home.
After months of new releases bringing in lackluster box office ticket sales, “Godzilla vs. Kong” racked up $48.5 million in its first five days in theaters. It was the best showing, by a landslide, for a movie since the pandemic struck.

At the same time, “Godzilla vs. Kong” was offered on HBO Max, the streaming service owned by WarnerMedia, for no extra charge to subscribers. A monthly subscription to HBO Max costs $15, which is roughly the same price as a single movie ticket in major cities.
