Denver, Colo., Dec 21, 2020 / 07:15 am (CNA).- In a first-of-its-kind initiative, a Catholic-run healthcare practice in Colorado will partner with a major foundation based in Paris to bring specialized medical care to adults with Down syndrome.
Bella Health & Wellness, a practice based in the Denver suburb of Englewood, Colorado, announced at a Dec. 3 fundraiser that they will partner with the
Jerome Lejeune Foundation, a French organization named for the pro-life doctor who discovered the genetic cause of Down syndrome in the 1950s.
Dede Chism, Bella’s co-founder and executive director, told CNA that the Lejeune Foundation was looking to partner with a medical practice in the United States that shared their ethos.

Jamie Foxx says he had a lot of fun making “Soul,” in which he portrays Joe, a jazz musician straddling the point between life and death. And it’s not just because Joe happens to be the first Black lead character in a Pixar film. For the first time in years, Foxx is in a film that’s about his first love, music.
“That’s what I came out here to do,” said Foxx, referring to Hollywood. “So I know my grandmother, who’s looking down, would be proud.”
Dixon is a hairstylist who has worked on numerous Hollywood blockbusters, including â5 Bloods,â âAvengers: Endgameâ and her brotherâs films âBaby Driverâ and âDjango Unchainedâ.
Foxxâs post continued, âThe pain has been excruciating for all of us. But she has held us together with her love and her wisdom⦠When I say I love her to the moon and back itâs not enough⦠please send her energy please send her good vibes⦠Tears in my eyes right nowâ¦â
The actor’s message comes two months after the passing of his sister DeOndra who was named a global ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation in 2011. She died at age 36 on October 26, and no cause of death has been announced.

Foxx s new series Dad Stop Embarrassing Me was announced by Netflix back in September.
The show is inspired by the relationship between Foxx and his 26-year-old daughter Corrinne Foxx.
The father and daughter duo will both produce the show with Alex Avant, with Bentley Kyle Evans serving as showrunner.
