RUBBER gloves were strewn on the floor and some were on sorting tables.
Beside the gloves, there were washing machines and cleaning solutions like bleach, tyre polish and liquid blue.
Many of the gloves that looked washed still had unidentified stains and scribbling on them, and were being handled under unhygienic conditions.
There was also no clear indication of segregation between the ones that had been washed and those piled up for washing.
Storage-wise, some gloves were packed in sacks on open-air racks at a parking area.
Those packed in boxes were devoid of protective covering, a clear indication that the products were not sterile.
BANGI: An illegal factory that washes nitrile gloves and resells them as fit for medical grade use was sealed by the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj).
In a joint raid with the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry and Health Ministry s Medical Device Authority (MDA), the council s enforcement officers found plastic bundles of nitrile gloves at the factory s processing area.

pic) said the gloves were being put through washing machines with a solution of bleach, tyre polish and blue dye.
He said many of the gloves still had stains on them after the washing process.
PETALING JAYA: As students have to follow their lessons online because of the movement control order, there are concerns that traders are taking advantage of the situation to hike up prices of laptops and printer ink cartridges as demand for such items increased from last month.
Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Rosol Wahid said as at Feb 5, the ministry received 15 complaints of high prices for printer ink cartridges, laptops and printers.“Out of the complaints we received about the high prices, seven were for laptops, another seven for printer ink cartridges and one for a printer, ” said Rosol.

KUALA BERANG, Feb 6 The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) will be submitting an application for dine-ins to be allowed during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Its deputy minister Datuk Rosol Wahid said the application would be submitted to Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob or the National Security Council (MKN) soon.
He said the application for permission to dine-in is being made for the welfare of not only food premises and food truck operators but also workers, suppliers, and wholesalers of foodstuffs, and basically anyone involved in the food industry.
