CJTF-HOA welcomes a new commander

Flora, the outgoing Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) commanding general, transferred responsibility to U.S. Army Maj. Gen. William L. Zana during a change of command ceremony. 4 The Colorado Army National Guard hosted the 2021 Region VII Best Warrior Competition at the 168th Regional Training Institute, Fort Carson, Colorado, May 17-20, 2021. This regional event included the best NCO and Soldier from Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.
The BWC is a time for Soldiers and Noncommissioned officers to show they are the best of the best both physically and mentally.
“To prepare for this competition you need to make yourself a well-rounded soldier because this gives you a better chance at representing yourself, it’s a compilation of a whole bunch of areas,” said U.S. Army Spc. Off to his strongest start in four seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series, Liberty University online student William Byron hasn’t forgotten those who have fought for and sacrificed their lives in service to the United States of America, assuring the freedom its citizens celebrate every Memorial Day.
For the fourth year in a row, Byron will drive in the 600 Miles of Remembrance at Charlotte Motor Speedway in honor of a fallen service member with Liberty ties. This year, Byron will sport the name of Staff Sgt. Cole Condiff on the windshield of his No. 24 Liberty University Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE. The name and the car’s patriotic paint scheme were unveiled by the Hendrick Motorsports team on Thursday.
