Rocky Mountain PBS Kids Club Daniel Tiger Drive-In Tour

Adorable little Daniel Tiger is bringing his neighborhood and friends to the socially distanced parking lot at the new U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. Activities at 7 p.m. May 14: an appearance by mascot Daniel Tiger, PBS swag bags and then three episodes of “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” “Peg + Cat” and more at sunset, FM audio in English and Spanish. Reservations: “Daniel Tiger,” an American-Canadian animated musical series for preschoolers, is produced by Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers) Productions and two others. It was first shown in September 2012 on PBS Kids, nine years after the death of Mister Rogers. “Rocky Mountain PBS is so pleased to provide this fun opportunity for kids and families,” said Carrie McKee, vice president of statewide regional innovation centers for RMPBS. Downtown businesses look to hire

Downtown Partnership has launched an online source for job openings at restaurants, retailers and other storefront businesses in the city center atÂ DowntownCS.com/hiring. After the pandemic slowed or halted business for much of 2020, Downtown restaurants and shops are seeing a strong uptick in business, said a news release issued by the Downtown Partnership. With predictions for a healthy tourism season into the fall and ongoing demand from patrons, many locally owned Downtown businesses are looking to hire for a variety of positions. More than 30 Downtown businesses with current job openings are on the site, which will be updated regularly, the release said.

Conservatory leader presents a special gift for kids

Linda Weise launched her PBS show in 2020. Courtesy Simple Gift Series Colorado Springs educator, musician and innovator Linda Weise is walking in the footsteps of the late Fred Rogers with her Rocky Mountain PBS television show, Simple Gift Series. Like Rogers, Weise is the creator, showrunner, writer, composer and host of the show, an educational program for young children. The show premiered in August 2020 with a 13-episode first season. Its second season is being edited, and a third season is in development. âItâs so fun to have our very own Mister Rogers, except sheâs called Miss Linda,â said Carrie McKee, vice president of regional innovation centers statewide at Rocky Mountain PBS.
