Officials announced Tuesday that Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies in 43 Oklahoma locations will start administering COVID-19 vaccinations starting Friday.
Among the local Walmarts participating with the roll out include stores in Elk City, Hobart, Altus, and Weatherford.
A news release states that the vaccines are available to people who meet the current phase of vaccine eligibility in Oklahoma. Officials also said the vaccines will be provided through the U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
Eligible people looking to get the vaccine can schedule an appointment through Walmart’s and Sam’s Club’s websites once they are available.

COLORADO, USA The COVID-19 vaccine will be available at more than two dozen Walmart pharmacies across Colorado beginning Feb. 12 through the U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
Those currently eligible for the vaccine in Colorado can schedule through the Walmart and Sam’s Club websites once appointments are available.
More than 1,000 Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies in 22 states are receiving federal vaccine allocations this week, with an emphasis on locations that reach customers in underserved communities with limited access to healthcare.

I get my flu shots at Walmart â the little pharmacy that they have. So, I would have no problem with that at all, because they all got medical license and stuff, so Iâm cool with that, said Walmart customer Mel Wiche.
