Four people died as supporters of President Donald Trump violently occupied the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.
Washington, D.C., Police Chief Robert Contee said the dead included a woman who was shot by the U.S. Capitol Police, as well as three others who died in “medical emergencies.”

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said President Trump was completely wrong to encourage a mob of protesters to storm the Capitol building in DC. In so far as he encouraged people to go to Congress, and in so far as the President has consistently cast doubt on the outcome of a free and fair election, I believe that to be completely wrong, Boris Johnson said in a press conference. I unreservedly condemn encouraging people to behave in the disgraceful way they did in the Capitol.
WASHINGTON â In a day scarred by a historic violent attack on the U.S. Capitol as Congress met, shaken lawmakers insisted on resuming a session that went late into the night to approve the Electoral College vote for President-Elect Joe Biden early Thursday morning, Jan. 7.
Lawmakers had come to Congress Wednesday expecting a contentious day of debate as a splinter group of Republicans said they would slow and perhaps even halt the traditional reading of the votes for president cast Dec. 14 by the Electoral College.

American Airlines is no longer serving alcohol on flights to and from DC following several incidents of what it calls politically-motivated aggression. The airline did not provide details on any of the incidents, but one such confrontation between a Trump supporter and fellow passengers aboard an AA flights was posted on social media.
The alcohol ban came on the same day that rioters broke into the U.S. Capitol as Congress was set to ratify the presidential election results. The company has ordered flight attendants to continue to remain aware and attempt to handle all safety and security issues on the ground.
