Campfire left unattended cause of 34-acre fire near Menan

IDAHO FALLS – A 34-acre fire west of Menan is fully contained after two days of growth.
U.S. Bureau of Land Management spokeswoman Kelsey Griffee tells EastIdahoNews.com the Walker Levee fire started Monday evening on the north end of 3200 East in Jefferson County near the Snake River bottoms.
Investigators have determined an unattended campfire was the cause of the blaze.
The fire was fully contained Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. No injuries were reported. Multiple agencies are working to put the fire out.
