Mission hosts family retreat
Participants in the April 25 Encounter at San Pablo Mission bless one of the missionaries who presented the retreat.

BERYL JUNCTION – Dozens of faithful parishioners attended a family Encounter with Jesus celebrated April 25 at San Pablo Catholic Mission in Iron County. The Encounter was led by the Misioneros de Jesús y María (Missionaries of Jesus and Mary), a ministry from St. Peter Parish in American Fork.
Because of the pandemic, those attending followed health restrictions such as the use of face masks, social distancing and overall respecting each other.
The retreat began with a thanksgiving prayer.

Someone s in trouble with the law.
While out walking his dog, Part Time Justin innocently ran across a group of people who were letting their dogs play off leash in a leash only area of a park. Upon being discovered by a police officer, Part Time Justin does his best to evade the police officer, but fails. Watch the video below as Justin gives us a play by play of what happened when he realized the police were coming for his group.
In other news, producer Nick Adams learns that his four year old son learned a new word and is now using that new word to describe one of his stuffed animals. His four year old is so curious that he asks his dad, Where Jesus was. After answering his son, his son comes back with a pretty great response.

I sit here staring at my mother’s death certificate. Eight copies of that certificate came today in a USPS box mailed from Ohio, along with her cremated remains.
The Certificate of Death is very bureaucratic and formal. It has bar codes and Ohio state seals and Ohio Department of Health stamps. On the back of the certificate’s official stationery, the words “Ohio Vital Statistics” run in columns from top to bottom and bottom to top, upside down or right side up, depending on your perspective. On both the inside and the outside of both the top edge and the bottom edge of the certificate are the imperatives, “Verify Presence of ODH Watermark” and “Hold to Light to View.”
