…group hails Obaseki, urges residents to leverage scheme
The Edo State Government has said the state’s Health Insurance Scheme (Edo-HIS) will further strengthen healthcare delivery, reduce mortality and tackle the burden of out-of-pocket health expenditure in the state.
The Director General (DG), Edo State Health Insurance Commission, Dr. Rock Amegor, disclosed this when he received members of Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA), a non-governmental organization, who were on courtesy visit to the Edo-HIS office in Benin City.
Amegor noted that the commission has commenced enrollment of beneficiaries into the Edo-HIS with civil and public servants in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.
