Director-General, Edo State Health Insurance Commission, Dr. Rock Amegor, who spoke with journalists in Benin City, said the scheme has provision for employers of labour in the private sector to offer effective, efficient, and quality healthcare services to their employees. x
He explained that major areas of interventions for the scheme include primary care through which beneficiaries could access preventive health services, outpatient services, internal medicine, pediatric care, as well as maternal and neonatal services, among others.
“As the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration continues to attract investors to set up their businesses in the state, it only makes more sense than private-sector employers also take advantage of the health insurance scheme for the benefit of their employees, who can access quality and affordable healthcare.
