The event was held in a hybrid format and attended by over 500 delegates, more than 200 large companies from 42 countries of the world, government agencies, relevant ministries and agencies, the world s leading oil & gas, service and consulting companies, major international organizations and financial institutions, diplomats and academia.

The surge in global commodity prices poses a challenge in managing inflation
At a time when the demand contraction caused by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic is beginning to threaten growth, the surge in global commodity prices is likely to pose fresh challenges. As global growth began rebounding this year, demand for all commodities agri, metals and energy has also been rising. The Commodity Research Bureau’s all commodity index has gained 22 per cent since the beginning of 2021 and 47 per cent over the past 12 months. Lower inventory carried forward this calendar year due to production cuts in 2020 coupled with rising demand from China has made prices of metals such as iron ore, copper and aluminium rally around 15 per cent over the last three months. CAIRO: Egyptian and Italian naval forces have recently carried out transient naval training in the Mediterranean.
The Egyptian frigate Al-Galala and the Italian frigate ITS Carlo Margottini took part in the training exercises after their visit to the port of Alexandria.
The training is the first of its kind to see the participation of Al-Galala. The Egyptian frigate is equipped with the latest global combat and technological systems and has recently joined the Egyptian Navy.
According to an official statement, the training included a number of different activities, such as training to confront atypical hostilities during departure from the port.
