The trials of Anti-Tank Guided Missile Systems ‘Helina’ and ‘Dhruvastra’ developed indigenously by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) were carried out successfully on February 19. According to a statement by the Indian Ministry of Defence, Joint User Trials for Helina (Army Version) and Dhruvastra (Air Force Version) Missile Systems have been carried out from Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) platform in desert ranges.
“Five missions were carried out for evaluating the missile capabilities in minimum and maximum range. The missiles were fired in hover and max forward flight against realistic static and moving targets. Some missions were carried out with warheads against derelict tanks. A mission was carried out against a moving target from a forward flying helicopter.

Air Chief Marshal, Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauri, inaugurated the Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) stall at Aero India, 2021, which began at Bengaluru on Wednesday.
Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd), CMD of BDL, briefed about the products on display.
BDL is showcasing it’s largest-ever range of products at the Aero India, 2021. The product range include state-of-the-art Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, Launchers, Surface-to-Air Missiles, Air-to-Air Missiles, Air-to-Surface Missiles, Underwater Weapons and Counter measure systems.
BDL will also be launching its two new underwater weapons named Garudastra and Dishani at the event. The company is signing MoUs with foreign as well as Indian Companies including start-ups.
Synopsis The LCA Navy tableau celebrates the successful demonstration of carrier operations of LCA Navy from INS Vikramaditya on the sea. The tableau of LCA Navy shows landing, takeoff and lift operation, three most important operations required to be met by an aircraft onboard a carrier ship, the statement said .

At the Republic Day Parade later this month, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will be presenting two important tableaux showcasing the major achievements of the year, which are Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Navy take-off and landing on board the aircraft carrier and the complete family of Anti Tank Guided Missiles.
