WellMed reopens COVID vaccine hotline for more appointments

WellMed has reopened its telephone reservation hotline for certain health care workers, senior citizens, pregnant women and people with specific medical conditions seeking to get their COVID-19 vaccinations.
The phone number to schedule an appointment is 833-968-1745. Calls will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily while supply lasts.
Scheduled appointments begin Wednesday.
Only registered recipients with appointments will receive the vaccine at Elvira Cisneros Senior Community Activity Center, 517 S.W. Military Drive, or at Alicia Treviño López Senior One-Stop Center, 8353 Culebra Road. No walk-ins will be accepted.

WellMed vaccination hotline re-opens Saturday with 9,000 slots available
Goal is to reduce wait times and increase number of vaccinations

On Wednesday, a WellMed official said that all available doses at the city’s two WellMed-run clinics in San Antonio are reserved.
The telephone registration hotline is now responding to callers with a recorded message stating that all slots are full.
No walk-ins will be accepted to either the Cisneros or Lopez Senior Centers.
WellMed will make a public announcement about reopening the hotline when they receive more vaccine doses.
