Man severely injured in Pine Co crash

Created: May 02, 2021 04:12 PM A Wyoming, Minnesota man was severely injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Pine County. The State Patrol says the 55-year-old man was driving his 2017 Ram 1500 northbound on I-35 in Sturgeon Township around 12:45 when his truck went off the road to the left, struck the center median, vaulted into the trees and flipped onto its roof. The man was brought to Essentia Health St. Mary s in Duluth with life threatening injuries. The patrol says alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash. Pine Co. Sheriff s Office, Sturgeon Lake & Willow River Fire, Essentia Ambulance, Moose Lake Rescue, and Life Link assisted the State Patrol on scene.
