Twenty-five organisations, working together for the future of the Lake District National Park, are inviting people to comment on their new five-year plan tackling the major challenges faced by the World Heritage Site. Stephen Henwood, chair of the Lake District National Park Partnership, hopes people will have their say and get involved with the issues facing the Lake District including a prosperous economy, climate action – achieving net zero and adapting to climate change and the future of farming and forestry, nature recovery and climate change. “We’ve a real chance to address the most critical issues facing the Lake District, and all humanity, taking a local approach to shape a better world,” he said.
