Shehroze Kashif, 19, became the youngest Pakistani mountaineer to reach the summit of Mount Everest 8,848.86 metres on Tuesday.
In an update on Facebook, Nepalese mountaineer and the expedition manager of Seven Summit Treks, Chhang Dawa Sherpa, congratulated Kashif for becoming the youngest Pakistani to climb Mount Everest. “This morning Kashif successfully climbed the Mt. Everest as a part of Seven Summit Treks Everest Expedition 2021,” he wrote.
An update on Kashif’s Facebook page said, “ALHAMDULILLAH ALHAMDULILLAH. Received the text confirmation from Shehroze Kashif. History has been made !!!!!!!!! Ma Sha Allah Shehroze has summited Everest.”
Hailing from Lahore, Kashif is also the youngest Pakistani to have climbed Broad Peak (8,047m) at the age of 17. He used supplemental oxygen on his climbs to Broad Peak and Everest.

Kathmandu, May 11 : An expedition team consisting of Bahraini Prince Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa successfully scaled the world s tallest peak, Mt. Everest on Tuesday, according to officials. We have been notified that an expedition team consisting of a Bahrain royal family member has reached the top of Mt. Everest from 5.30 a.m. to 6.40 a.m. on Tuesday, Mira Acharya, director at Nepal s Department of Tourism, said in a statement.
The Seven Summit Treks, which organised the expedition, also confirmed the news on its social media account.

KATHMANDU, May 11 (Reuters) - Foreigners climbed Mount Everest for the first time since Nepal s government reopened the mountain after it was shut last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, despite recent coronavirus cases at its base camp.
Thirty-eight climbers including ten Bahraini and two British mountaineers climbed the world s highest mountain on Tuesday, according to hiking companies.
It comes as a few climbers were evacuated from the Everest base camp in April after they fell sick with COVID-19 symptoms as Nepal battles a devastating second wave of coronaviurs infections.
