Argument leads to deadly Christmas night shooting in Iowa | News, Sports, Jobs

Dec 27, 2020 WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) Authorities say a man fatally shot a relative on Christmas Day in an Iowa home. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 4:30 p.m. after a resident called 911 to report that there had been a shooting between family members. Forty-three-year-old Chad Buck was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Deputies determined that there was an argument before the shooting at Buck’s rural home. Capt. Mark Herbst of the sheriff’s department said in a news release that no further information, including the names of others involved, will be made public at this time pending further investigation and the results of the victim’s autopsy.

One Dead After Apparent Fiery Crash In Plymouth County

December 24, 2020 Westfield, Iowa Plymouth County authorities have released the identity of a person killed in a fiery crash near Westfield last Friday (December 18th). According to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, their communications center fielded a call about a ditch fire near Westfield. Within the next several minutes, they received multiple other calls reporting that there was a vehicle on fire in the ditch. Plymouth County deputies, along with Akron Fire and Ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene and once there, discovered that there was an individual inside the burning vehicle and that the person was deceased. Plymouth County officials have now identified the victim as 43-year-old Jeremy A. Parker of Macy. Nebraska. Deputies say it appears that Parker was alone in the vehicle and that he had been northbound on Highway 12, about four-and-one-half miles southeast of Westfield. Remains Found In Plymouth County Ditch Fire December 21, 2020 6:08 am clipart.com Plymouth County, IA (KICD) One person was found dead following a report of a ditch fire on Friday in Plymouth County. The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office says the communications center received the call around 11:16 P.M. When emergency responders arrived it was determined there was a deceased person inside of a vehicle located inside of the ditch. Investigators say the crash was a one-vehicle incident with the vehicle traveling north on Highway 12. The driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch, eventually hitting a tree before coming to rest. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames along with the surrounding ditch area.
