OSWEGO COUNTY â Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang announced Friday, April 23, that 24 additional residents tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total cumulative number of positive cases since the county began monitoring for COVID-19 in March 2020 to 7,545. There are currently 220 active positive cases.
Huang reminds residents that the virus is still active in our community. âOver the last several weeks, the Countyâs weekly accumulated new case counts have been around 160,â he said. âOur community remains at a âhigh community transmissionâ level, according to the CDC report. This puts us with 44% of counties across the country and closer to 90% of counties across the state.â

Wear a face mask, social distance, wash your hands frequently and avoid non-essential gatherings. These are the best ways to protect our families and communities and get us through the pandemic.â
