OSWEGO â Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang announced Wednesday, April 14, that 30 additional residents tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total cumulative number of positive cases since the county began monitoring for COVID-19 in March 2020 to 7,346. There are currently 236 active positive cases.
âThere are 30 new positive cases today,â said Huang. âThis is one of a handful of the highest new daily case counts weâve seen in the last two months. We must do better to avoid the increasing trends that are taking place elsewhere in the state and across the country.â
He reminded eligible residents to get vaccinated as soon as they are able. âRemember that the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are both two-shot series, so you must keep both appointments to get fully vaccinated,â Huang said. âI also encourage people to follow the three Ws: Wear a mask; Watch your distance; and Wash your hands frequently. OSWEGO COUNTY - The Oswego County Health Department will hold another COVID-19 vaccination clinic at G. Ray Bodley High School, 6 William Gillard Drive, Fulton. First dose appointments for the Moderna vaccine will be available from 3-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17.
The Moderna vaccine requires two doses and is only approved for those aged 18 and over. People must be able to return on Saturday, May 15 for their second dose.
