Boris Johnson has promised that the nation will not forget the 100,000 people who have died of coronavirus in the United Kingdom. A sombre Prime Minister told the public that the lives lost and the sacrifice made by millions as the country reached a fatal 100,000 milestone in the year-long pandemic would be commemorated.
But on the day official stats showed the UK as having the highest covid death toll in Europe, Johnson excused himself from responsibility. He told reporters: “We did everything we could to minimise suffering and minimise the loss of life.”

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 should isolate for 10 days starting at symptom onset. That means avoiding all contact with other people and not leaving home unless you need to go to a medical appointment.
