John Elliott POLICE are appealing to find a wanted man who escaped an open prison and has links to Lancashire. A new photograph has been released to find John Elliott, who left the prison on Sunday 11 October 2020 and failed to return. The 41-year-old was serving a three-year sentence at HMP Hatfield for burglary. Elliott is believed to have links to West Yorkshire, as well as Greater Manchester. However, he may have travelled elsewhere in the country and officers are keen to hear from anyone who knows where he is. A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: Elliott, who may be going by the alias name John Pearson, is described as being of medium build, with greying hair and a beard. In addition, he has three fingers missing on his left hand, only having his thumb and forefinger.

Police appeal for information after dogs were stolen in Doncaster Police in Doncaster have issued an appeal for information after two dogs were reported stolen from their owner s garden in broad daylight last Friday (December 18). Wednesday, 23rd December 2020, 5:04 pm South Yorkshire Police said they have received a report that unidentified persons in a blue Ford Transit van pulled up outside the rear of a property on The Crescent, Woodlands at 2pm. The dogs, both female Sprocker Spaniels, were in a pen in the back garden when the incident occurred. The brown spaniel is four months old and the blue spaniel is three years old.

Basingstoke man arrested in connection with Frazer Brabant murder

Frazer Brabant A 22-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested in connection with the murder of Frazer Brabant, who died in January of this year - three months after he was seriously assaulted. Frazer, also from Basingstoke, was assaulted in Gershwin Road on October 31, 2019. Officers who attended the scene found the 34-year-old in the rear garden of a residential property with serious head injuries. The father-of-two never left hospital and died on January 21, 2020. The arrested man remains in custody. This is the 16th person to be arrested in the case. Police had arrested five people in November 2019, six in June 2020 (including one from the previous arrests), and five in October 2020. All were released later, but the suspects remain under police investigation.
