The Ambassadors of the G7 countries (the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, and Japan) have expressed support for the independent work of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
They announced this on the official Twitter account of the UK Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors Support Group in Kyiv. G7 Ambassadors, in a meeting with NBU governor [Kyrylo] Shevchenko, welcomed the NBU s commitment to helping Ukraine drive banking and economic reform, and meet its commitments to the IMF [International Monetary Fund] and other international financial institutions. The G7 supports a strong and independent NBU that contributes to Ukraine s economic stability and prosperity for all Ukrainians, they said on Twitter on February 24.
The ambassadors of the G7 countries, during their meeting with Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, have welcomed Ukraine s commitment to take the necessary steps to complete the review of the IMF program, according to a statement posted on the Twitter account of the UK Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors Support Group in Kyiv.
Indian-origin UK minister in India for climate talks

New Delhi–Alok Sharma, an Indian-origin Minister in the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Cabinet, on Monday arrived here for two days of climate discussions with Indian leaders.
Sharma, the COP26 President-Designate to lead the crucial UN climate talks, will meet senior Indian Ministers, as well as leaders from business and civil society, to discuss strengthening the UK-India climate partnership and preparing for a successful COP26 summit later this year.
In his first visit to Asia as COP (Conference of the Parties) President, Sharma is expected to welcome India’s significant progress on climate action and clean energy transition, an official statement by New Delhi-based British High Commission said.
