U S soldiers pass through Panama City Beach airport for holidays

PANAMA CITY BEACH About 180 U.S. soldiers traveled through Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) on Saturday to visit their families for the holidays.  According to Steve Geczy, a member of the Military Welcome Center Committee, the soldiers arrived at the airport about 4 a.m. after being transported by buses from Fort Rucker near Enterpise, Alabama. They were greeted with breakfast, which was served by local Boy Scouts and Sea Scouts, Geczy added.  It s always hurry up and wait in the military, so while you re sitting around doing nothing, it s nice for them to get some refreshments while they re here . (and) have a place to sit, he said.
