Tool gives investors insight into companies’ alignment with U.N. goals

Investors can track corporate alignment to the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals in real time through a free monitor released Monday by FactSet sTruvalue Labs.
The SDG Monitor is based on a data set fed by more than 100,000 information sources in 13 languages, including news, non-governmental organization reports, industry publications and social media. The analysis focuses on overall corporate effect, not just percentage of company revenue categorized by the goals.
The monitor covers more than 21,000 companies worldwide and is organized by country and region so investors can check on companies aggregate performance when it comes to SDGs.

HONG KONG SAR â Media OutReach â 9 March 2021 â TÃV Rheinland Group has awarded a Green Product Mark Certificate to BrandLoyalty for their new Tucano Luggage range. The fabric of this luggage is made from 100% recycled PET-plastic bottles, and was tested by TÃV Rheinland. BrandLoyalty is the first company in the world to receive the mark for luggage products. Representatives from both sides attended the certificate presentation ceremony on December 23, including Louis Ng, Head of Sourcing APAC of BrandLoyalty, and Martin Fan, Managing Director of TÃV Rheinland Hong Kong.

Given the devastating economic toll the COVID-19 pandemic has had on women and girls, the imperative to mark International Women’s Day carries more weight than usual this year.
The idea of a day celebrating the accomplishments of the female gender in the U.S. reaches back to 1909. Throughout the subsequent decade, the concept was embraced by countries including Austria, Denmark, Germany, Russia and Switzerland, but it wasn’t until 1975 that the first International Women’s Day was celebrated and adopted by the United Nations.
As I began identifying leaders to include on this third annual list, I was inspired by the introduction to All We Can Save, an essay and poem collection co-edited by marine biologist Ayana Elizabeth Johnson (who you can find on this year’s list) and Katharine Wilkinson (who we recognized on the first Badass Women list in 2019).
