Regional leaders participating at Abu Dhabi’s climate summit have pledged to accelerate action to tackle the problem and have affirmed their commitment to ensure the success of the 2015 Paris Agreement.
The UAE Regional Dialogue for Climate Action, which concluded on April 4, saw 11 countries, including the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Iraq, Sudan and the US sign a group statement to take climate action.

Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and CEO of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina participated in the UAE Regional Dialogue for Climate Action.
The special envoy praised the efforts made by the UAE to unifying international visions and face climate change.
SCE CEO noted the importance of such meetings that enhance regional and international cooperation to accelerate the pace of climate action and pave the way towards optimal international readiness for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).
He pointed out that the institutional investment in the clean energy market in Bahrain is continuously developing despite the limited geographical area of the Kingdom.
