February 11, 2021 Project Women Brunei conducts various webinars touching on current issues in the public’s interest. One example is the ‘Legally Speaking’ series supported by the Embassy of the United States of America in Brunei Darussalam, focussing on thematic issues that affect women and girls, covering the provisions of the law and understanding its context. Legally Speaking kicked-off with the topic, ‘The right to protection: Ending violence against girl-children’. The first webinar of the series featured Commissioner for Women’s Rights, Brunei Darussalam Hajah Normah Suria Hayati binti Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Mohd Jamil Al-Sufri as guest of honour.
