In tackling abortion and reproductive rights issues, some of Biden s goals are easier than others
Biden got the vote of abortion rights advocates. Getting them results will be harder. Maureen Groppe, USA TODAY Replay Video UP NEXT WASHINGTON – Allowing federal funds to flow again to international groups that provide or refer patients for abortion services is the easy part of President Joe Biden’s promise to reverse Trump administration policies on reproductive health issues. © Rich Pedroncelli, AP People rally in support of abortion rights in Sacramento, Calif., in this May 21, 2019, file photo. Undoing restrictions on U.S. clinics that provide abortion counseling or services will take more time, as would changing when employers can decline to include birth control in workers’ health care plans.

Biden starts staffing a commission on Supreme Court reform POLITICO 1/27/2021 © Drew Angerer/Getty Images The Supreme Court building is pictured in Washington, D.C. The Biden administration is moving forward with the creation of a bipartisan commission to study reforms to the Supreme Court and the federal judiciary. The commission will be housed under the purview of the White House Counsel’s office and filled out with the behind-the-scenes help of the Biden campaign’s lawyer Bob Bauer, who will co-chair the commission. Its specific mandate is still being decided. But, in a signal that the commission is indeed moving ahead, some members have already been selected, according to multiple people familiar with the discussions.
