GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed her plans to introduce a resolution to expel Democratic Maxine Waters from Congress on Sunday.
In a tweet she posted on Sunday, Greene claimed Waters was inciting violence when she crossed the state lines to join the Black Lives Matter protests against the police shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright in Minnesota, coming up with an #expelMaxineWaters hashtag.
“Very soon I’ll be introducing a resolution to expel @RepMaxineWaters from Congress for her continual incitement of violence on innocent American people,” Greene wrote. “Rep Waters is a danger to our society.”
“After traveling across state lines to incite riots, her orders recorded on video last night at the Brooklyn Center, directly led to more violence and a drive-by shooting on National Guardsmen in Minnesota early this morning,” Greene continued, providing no evidence.

Maxine Waters was inciting violence when she said in Minnesota over the weekend that protesters need to get more confrontational if former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is found not guilty in the death of George Floyd. © Alex Kent/Shutterstock The judge criticized Waters by name for making the comments, calling them abhorrent, but denied the defense argument that the jury, which wasn t sequestered at that point, could have been prejudiced, although he did say it might be grounds for an appeal.
