Surreal: United States Capitol Building Breached By Americans
The United States Capitol Building has been aggressively breached by Americans.
There has not been a breach resembling this in more than 200 years.
It has forced the Capitol Police to draw their weapons and turn them on their fellow Americans.
It’s surreal.
The floor of The United States has also been breached.
At least one person has been shot and transported to the hospital.
There is property damage, still to be determined.
Multiple pleas are being made to United States President Donald Trump to intervene as the only one that those who have breached The Capitol Building will listen to.
With the hefty fallout surrounding President Donald Trump’s #StopTheSteal rally and the following mob riot attack on the United States Capitol Building immediately following, tech companies are finally stepping up to do what they arguably should have done all along and crack down on misinformation regarding matters as important as the 2020 US Election. YouTube is the latest group to make a move, recently announcing that the platform will begin suspending channels that spread claims of 2020 US Election voter fraud and misinformation.
YouTube announced its new efforts to combat voter fraud misinformation in a statement on its YouTubeInsider Twitter released on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Its new policies come in direct relation to the January 6 incident in which Trump parroted misinformation that stoked his supporters into a mob that attacked the Capitol Building.
WASHINGTON, D.C. â U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) said on Twitter that she was safe as news media video showed chaos at the U.S. Capitol as a mob pushed past police, breached security and got inside the building Wednesday afternoon.
The Washington Post reported that one person was shot inside the U.S. Capitol, the Senate stopped its proceedings and the D.C. mayor imposed a citywide curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
While the New Hampshire House of Representatives was in session in Durham Wednesday when the chaos was first reported, the House voted to condemn the violence in Washington, D.C.

Lawmakers say Capitol Police and the Trump administration must be investigated over the violent breach of the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob on Wednesday the first breach of the core seat of American government in two centuries.
Reacting with disgust and calls for dozens more arrests and official inquiries along with renewed pushes to oust President Donald Trump for inciting the march on the Capitol lawmakers cited widely-shared photos and video footage of an outnumbered and outplanned Capitol Police force overcome by an unruly MAGA-clad mob.
The Republican National Committee says it strongly condemns the violence at the Capitol, adding that the violent scenes “do not represent acts of patriotism, but an attack on our country and its founding principles.”
