NHS reports 25 deaths at Lincolnshire hospitals over the weekend

Twenty-five deaths from coronavirus have been reported over the weekend at hospitals run by United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust.
The trust says it is not declaring a critical incident at present.
Greater Lincolnshire is now below the national average infection rate, but five out of the nine local authorities have still seen an increase over the weekend, when there were 626 new coronavirus cases and 24 COVID-related deaths.

The governmentâs dashboard on Monday morning showed 500 new cases in Lincolnshire, over Saturday and Sunday.
The infection rate in South Kesteven came down slightly over the weekend from 205 per 100,000 to 204.3.
Two injured in crash that closed A17 for nine hours

Two drivers were injured after a three-vehicle crash on the A17 at Long Sutton, which closed the road for around nine hours.
The collision happened at around 1pm on Wednesday, December 16 and involved a red and green Mercedes HGV, a red Peugeot 207, and a black VW Touran.
The driver of the VW Touran, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Peugeot was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The road was closed and was planned to reopen at around 10pm.

316 COVID-19 cases, 31 deaths in Greater Lincolnshire on Wednesday

There have been 316 new coronavirus cases and 31 COVID-related deaths in Greater Lincolnshire on Wednesday.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 230 new cases in Lincolnshire, 58 in North Lincolnshire and 28 in North East Lincolnshire.
On Wednesday, 29 deaths were registered in Lincolnshire and two in North East Lincolnshire. No deaths were recorded in North Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county.
NHS England reported 13 new local hospital deaths on Wednesday, including 10 at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust and three at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG). NLAG has now hit 300 hospital deaths since the start of the pandemic.

There have been 322 new coronavirus cases and 20 COVID-related deaths in Greater Lincolnshire on Tuesday.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 263 new cases in Lincolnshire, 46 in North Lincolnshire and 13 in North East Lincolnshire.
On Tuesday, 14 deaths were registered in Lincolnshire, four in North East Lincolnshire and two in North Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county. Lincolnshire deaths have hit 800 since the pandemic started.
