Two days after capturing the program s first ASUN Conference title, the Liberty women s cross country team made more history on Sunday. They became the Flames first cross country team (men s or women s) ever selected to compete in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.
Liberty will be one of 31 women s squads which toe the starting line at the 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. The 6K race will be contested on March 15 at 12:50 p.m. Eastern at the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla. The race will be televised live on ESPNU, with coverage beginning at 12:30 p.m.

(15-Feb) One of the world’s greatest team running competitions, the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships, will be broadcast live by ESPN on Monday, March 15, and those championships will be carried by that network through at least 2023, according to a joint statement released today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and ESPN. ESPN will use their ESPNU and ESPN app platforms to deliver the broadcasts.

It was also just announced the NCAA DI Cross Country Championships will be back on LIVE TELEVISION for the first time since 2009, starting this year, thanks to the combined efforts of the USTFCCCA and ESPN. Watch all of the action on March 15 on ESPNU and the ESPN App.
