On February 2, 2021, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission issued an Order of Immediate License Suspension to the licensee of Route 99 Roadhouse in Canby for not following public health social distancing and face covering requirements. The business, which holds a Full On-Premises sales license, is NOT allowed to sell any alcoholic beverages.
This past January the OLCC received complaints that the owner-operator was allowing groups of customers to gather and consume food and alcohol inside the licensed premises. OLCC enforcement staff visited the bar and restaurant as a follow-up to an initial conversation with the licensee after receiving several complaints about the business not following public health requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19. OLCC staff had previously contacted the operators of Route 99 to provide education and verbal instructions on how the business could come into compliance.
