Cause Connector is a charitable matchmaking site, created to help more donors support local nonprofit projects in Appalachian Ohio. On Cause Connector, donors can easily search for projects serving their local community across the areas of arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. For The Times Leader BARNESVILLE Village officials recently learned that a significant portion of funding for the Slope Creek Waterline Project is closer to being secured. Village Administrator Roger Deal updated council at a regular meeting Feb. 1 concerning the progress toward receiving an Ohio Public Works Commission grant to help fund the installation of a new 16-inch plastic waterline to transfer water nearly 5 miles from the Slope Creek Reservoir to the village water system, replacing the 12-inch concrete and asbestos line that has been in place since 1963. The new line would be placed along a route that will allow for easier access and maintenance.

The addition of Jefferis to the OHHS team will allow the center to offer evening hours until 7 p.m., four days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. “We are thrilled to have Miles join our staff and he will allow OHHS to expand our evening hours and to be able to accept walk-in patients,” Jeff Britton, CEO, OHHS, said. “Miles is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a team player.
