Shots fired at Mindarie Gang Crime Squad detectives are investigating an incident in Mindarie that occurred around 7.45pm last night (13 July) in which shots were fired.
An orange coloured Mustang and a white coloured utility were in the carpark of the Mindarie Marina when the occupants exited the vehicles and fired at each other before returning to their vehicles and fleeing the scene. It does not appear anyone was injured in the incident.
Around 1.35am, the Mustang was sighted by police in Kingsway. Police followed the vehicle but lost sight of it on Hepburn Avenue. The Mustang was located crashed into a wall on the corner of Archer Street and Goundrey Drive in Pearsall. The occupant(s) of the Mustang had fled the vehicle prior to police arriving. Police officers as well as officers from the Canine Unit searched the area but did not locate the offender.

NSW criminal syndicates dismantled under AFP-led Operation Ironside
The Australian Federal Police’s Operation IRONSIDE EAST infiltrated encrypted communications of criminal groups targeting New South Wales, resulting in the arrest of 55 people and seizure of more than 1.5 tonnes of illicit drugs and more than $19 million in cash in the last week.
Operation IRONSIDE EAST has charged major drug trafficking and money laundering facilitators in New South Wales connected to Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMCG) and transnational serious and organised criminal syndicates operating in Australia and offshore.
Further search warrants are anticipated in the coming days in New South Wales, across Australia and offshore to coincide with global activity into the monitored criminal groups.

ANALYSIS The Australian Federal Police appears to have provided the best possible argument for not passing federal bills that seek to enhance its powers, following the provision of details about using existing Australian encryption laws to read the encrypted messages of criminal gangs and take them down.
The AFP
mentioned on Tuesday how it has used the laws passed in December 2018 to decrypt messages which were circulated within an app that had been used in a sting. Known as AN0M, the app was put out into circulation by a known criminal and then picked up by various others in the loop.
