Master of None‘s three-year hiatus, Netflix has finally confirmed that Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang‘s acclaimed comedy series is indeed coming back for its third season sometime in May. According to Collider, the new season will be titled

The Rise of Skywalker actress Naomi Ackie was reportedly in talks for a new role in the third season.
Master of None Season 3 reportedly consists of five episodes which are all directed by Ansari from a script he co-wrote with Waithe. The second season previously included a Denise-centered episode titled “Thanksgiving,” which revolved around the character’s coming out story. The said episode won both Waithe and Ansari an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Writing.

Bob Krasner caught actress-writer-director Natasha Lyonne and crew filming a scene for season two of her Netflix hit, Russian Doll, on Avenue A last week. In a story for AMNY, he noted, “Much of season one was filmed in the East Village and it looks like they are repeating that strategy. Locals didn’t get much info in terms of plot last week, if they chanced upon Lyonne filming scenes on the corner of 10th St. and Avenue A…”
Lyonne plays Nadia Vulvokov, a game developer who repeatedly dies and relives the same night in an ongoing time loop while trying to solve it. The show’s first season received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Lyonne.
