IN PICS | Firefighters battle Durban factory blaze 10 May 2021 - 11:09 Firefighters in Durban are battling a raging blaze which broke out on the fourth floor of a textile and screen printing factory on Felix Dlamini Road (formerly Brickfield Road) on Monday.
Members of eThekwini Fire and Emergency Services attempted to control the flames which have gutted the multistorey building.

KZN Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Robert Mckenzie said the road was closed off to allow emergency services to attend to the scene.

A child and three adults died in a “serious crash” on the N11 between Ladysmith and Newcastle in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday. KwaZulu-Natal emergency medical services Robert Mckenzie said: “Tragically four people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash. Paramedics have treated six patients at the scene.”
Mckenzie said the passengers who died on the scene were two females, one male and one child.
He said three cars were involved and the cause of the accident was being investigated by police.

At least seven people were killed and six others critically injured when a bakkie collided with a car on the R34 between Vryheid and Ulundi in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday.
KZN Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Robert Mckenzie said the cause of the crash was unknown and would be investigated by the police.
“Tragically, seven people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash. Paramedics treated six critically injured patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital for continued medical care,” he said.
