Police have thanked people who helped apprehend a suspect amid reports of gunshots at a college.
Armed police officers descended on Crawley College in West Sussex at 15:10 BST on Monday, and arrested an 18-year-old man.
Ch Supt Howard Hodges said: I want to thank those who helped apprehend the suspect before officers arrived.
Two members of staff sustained minor injuries, and a knife and firearm were recovered from the scene, police said.
Video appearing to show a member of staff tackling the suspect to the ground and pinning him to the floor was shared by students on Snapchat on Monday.

THE driver of a double-decker bus took a detour from a planned diversion before crashing into a bridge, ripping off the roof, their employer has said. It comes after police revealed the roof of the bus was smashed off after the driver “misjudged” the bridge in Rocky Lane between Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. A bus roof was today ripped off and a passenger suffered a head injury after the double-decker vehicle smashed into a railway bridge in Sussex.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene in Haywards Heath this morning after a bus driver misjudged the railway bridge and crashed at around 6.40am.
Photographs show the roof of the vehicle entirely ripped off following the incident, with glass and debris littering the road around the wreckage.
Sussex Police confirmed ambulance crews had arrived to attend to the driver and a female passenger who was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with a head injury.
