Drug dealing has led to time served and two years supervised release for a Sinclairville woman.
U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced the sentencing by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara of Tracy Griffin, 38, who was convicted of conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and distributing, acetyl fentanyl, fentanyl, and crack cocaine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who handled the case, stated that in January 2019, the defendant and co-defendant Brandon Blackshear conspired to sell acetyl fentanyl, fentanyl, and crack cocaine. On January 2 and 22, members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force conducted controlled purchases of crack cocaine from Griffin and Blackshear.

Monday, 6:19 p.m., Melinda Sue Parsell-Herbert, 30, of 554 Martha Ave., was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony; acting in a manner injurious to a child, a class A misdemeanor; and second-degree harassment, a violation. Parsell-Herbert was held pending arraignment.
Tuesday, 12:50 p.m., no injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident on West State Street. A vehicle operated by Suzanne Marie Gaughn, 71, of North Seventh Street, Allegany, was pulling into a parking space when it reportedly struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. Gaughn told police her foot slipped onto the accelerator, causing the accident.

Tyler M. Woodard, 21, of Allegany, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor. Woodard was processed and release with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

Cattaraugus County couple arrested for allegedly neglecting horses

NEW ALBION, N.Y. (WKBW) â A Cattaraugus County couple has been arrested for allegedly neglecting horses at their home in New Albion.
According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff s Office, authorities received several reports of horses neglected at a farm on Otto Road, last Thursday.
Upon receiving a search warrant, investigators seized four horses and arrested Donna Truesdale and Steven Remington for failing to provide sustenance, proper food and water, and for neglecting an impounded animal.
Both were issued appearance tickets for a later date.
