Social distancing on trains has become “near impossible” due to a reduction in services, it is claimed.
Southend West MP Sir David Amess says he has been contacted by a number of constituents regarding congestion on trains. He highlighted the problem during a virtual debate in Parliament today where he asked for reassurances the Government was keeping an eye on the issue. Sir David said: “The services on both the Greater Anglia and c2c lines has been significantly cut during the latest lockdown. “Many constituents have contacted me to tell me that social distancing is near impossible on the few trains that are being run.
