South Bend organization offers training for turning ideas into action

SOUTH BEND — Practice, as the saying goes, makes perfect. That is the guiding philosophy of the Neighborhood Resources Connection’s community academy, which is a six-week program that provides participants with community building training, according to Grant Carlile, director of the Neighborhood Resources Connection. The first card in my Rolodex tray is a note from the reporter who bestowed it on me on her last day in the newsroom. “The Register may not think we all are worthy of Rolodexes, but I do. Good luck,” she wrote.
