Remember the SolarWinds hack? It was revealed just over a month ago that its network had been compromised, allowing the hackers to gain access to the U.S. departments of Treasury and Commerce, among others, and causing
SolarWinds stock to tumble nearly 40%.
Now, a
JPMorgan analyst is defending the stock.
And by defending, we don’t mean a dashed-off note trying to explain why it isn’t a big deal when it clearly is. In this case, JPMorgan analyst Sterling Auty and team offered 10 pages not including financials and disclaimers explaining why the stock is “an attractive opportunity for risk tolerant investors.”

Star fund manager Cathie Wood is setting her eyes on yet another booming industry, and it’s setting the stocks on fire.
ARK Investment Management, an asset-management firm led by Wood, filed late Wednesday to launch the ARK Space Exploration exchange-traded fund under the ticker ARKX.
Although the fund isn’t on the market yet and its exact holdings are unknown, the news itself was bullish enough to spark a rally in many companies related to the space business.
It’s the latest demonstration of how popular and influential ARK Investment and its founder Wood has become in the past year.

Corning shares were trading higher Thursday after Barclays analyst Tim Long raised his rating on the specialty glass maker to Overweight from Equal Weight.
The upgrade was part of a broader review of the 2021 outlook for computer hardware stocks.
Long also upgraded
Juniper Networks (ticker: JNPR) to Overweight from Equal Weight, boosting his target to $28 from $24, and he lifted
Casa Systems (CASA) to Overweight from Equal Weight, with a new target of $9, up from $6. Long downgraded
