NASA s new Hubble images will blow your mind
NASA just released a treasure trove of cosmic imagery.Â
On Friday, the space agency released over 50 new images captured by the legendary Hubble Space Telescope. Before now, NASA hadn t fully processed the rich images for public release.Â
The images include exploded stars, extremely dense clusters of stars, vivid singular galaxies, and beyond. Hubble achieves profound clarity because it orbits above Earth s atmosphere, so its images aren t muddied by our planet s gases and weather. The telescope has also been improved five times by spacewalking astronauts. Hubble is today, at 30 years old, even better than when it was launched and continues to make groundbreaking discoveries that challenge and advance our fundamental understanding of the cosmos, NASA wrote.
Nancy Maude Rankin died November 21, 2020 in Johnson City, TN at the age of 92. A longtime resident of New Orleans, Louisiana she moved to Cornerstone Village in 2008. Recently, Caris Hospice provided her with warm and comforting care.
Proud of her English heritage, she returned to Great Britain many times, once celebrating Christmas in London. Fond of Yorkshire Terriers, she adored, spoiled and enjoyed Lady, Di, Meg, Princess, and most recently Dolly Marie.
Born in Birmingham, Al, her nursing career began with graduation from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, Birmingham AL, continued at University of Alabama, Duke University, Marillac College, St Louis MO, and followed with a Master of Science in Nursing from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Her professional life spanned years in various administrative and service positions until her faculty appointment at the Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Nursing in New Orleans. Rome Newsroom, Dec 10, 2020 / 02:00 pm (CNA).- On the vigil of the Dec. 10 feast of Our Lady of Loreto, uniformed air force pilots wearing face masks carried a large wooden statue of the Virgin Mary in an outdoor procession in Loreto, illuminated by candles and Christmas lights.
Franciscan friars and a few local Catholics participated, reciting the Litany of Loreto as the procession passed, while more than 10,000 others tuned in via the livestream connection on YouTube.
This was just one part of the three-day celebration at the Holy House of Loreto in the Marche region of central Italy during the shrine’s extended Jubilee Year.

It was in this room that a small army of fellow monks would read and answer those letters. An astonishing sight. Imagine that he received so many letters in his lifetime! Actually, no the tour guide explained that room contained only the letters he received in a single year.
