The Ministry of Health of Cambodia on Saturday (July 3) reported 36 new deaths. - Phnom Penh Post/ANN PHNOM PENH, July 3 (Phnom Penh Post/ANN): The Cambodian Ministry of Health on Saturday reported another 948 Covid-19 cases, 44 of which were imported.
The ministry also reported 36 new deaths and 615 recoveries.
As of July 3, Cambodia had recorded a total of 53,298 Covid-19 cases with 46,123 recoveries and 696 fatalities
The Ministry of Health has also announced that 11 more cases of the Delta variant of Covid-19, also known as B.1.617.2, have been detected in Cambodian migrant workers returning from Thailand through border checkpoints.
The latest cases added to the 23 cases the ministry recorded in June – 12 on June 25, seven on June 19 and three on June 4 – bringing the total to 33.
On the back of an export boom in April, the Thai National Shippers' Council (TNSC) feels upbeat that the country's exports could rise by 10 – 15 percent this year.

COVID-19 outbreak forces suspension of Hue traditional craft festival

The 2021 Hue Traditional Craft Festival in the central city of Thua Thien-Hue will be suspended amid the complicated developments of COVID-19, according to the People’s Committee of Hue city.
The ninth edition of the festival, initially slated from May 29 to June 26, is re-scheduled for the latter half of July if the pandemic is brought under control.
More than 40 art performances will be organised, gathering together a large number of artists, actors, and artisans.
Mobile container labs for COVID-19 testing would be used in the time ahead as Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has signed an official dispatch regarding the installation of the labs.
