Mineral fund to be used in fight against Covid-19 Hubballi, 14 May (UNI) Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Coal, Prahlad Joshi said here on Friday that the Center has authorized the use of 30 per cent of the Mineral funds granted to districts in the country for the treatment of Covid-19 patients and related issues in handling the pandemic across the Country. The Mineral funds which are called DMFs are essentially trusts to be set up in all the districts in every state affected by mining and are defined as institutions which will work for the interest and benefit of persons and areas affected by mining-related operations.

Dr. Biradar was recovering from COVID-19 when he suffered a heart attack at his house. He was airlifted to Bengaluru two days ago. But he suffered another heart attack before admission. He had served the BLDE University for over 30 years as an educator and administrator. Hailing from a farming family, he studied MBBS in the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubballi, and MD from VIMS Ballari. He served as a government medical officer in Ballari for a few years before joining B.M. Patil Medical College. He served as principal of the college before taking charge as the Vice-Chancellor in 2016.

Hubballi: Free Covid care centre set up at KLE Society s college campus | Hubballi News

KLE Society in association with Seva Bharati Trust (SBT) has set up a free Covid care center with the capacity of 80-beds at BVB Campus in Hubballi. HUBBALLI: Lending a hand to supplement the efforts of the district administration to tackle the surge in Covid-19 cases, KLE Society, in association with Seva Bharati Trust, has set up an 80-bed Covid Care Centre (CCC) at the former’s BV Bhoomaraddi College campus, where people can avail of treatment free of cost. A team headed by doctors and comprising nurses and volunteers shall be deployed at the CCC round-the-clock. Volunteers have also been deployed at the CCC to assist patients. KLE Society has also made arrangements for doctors, nurses and other experts to stay at the CCC. While oxygen and food for the CCC will be requisitioned from the district administration, the trust and KLE Society will arrange all the other basic amenities.
