Since the beginning of my high school years, I have listened to hundreds of albums, trying to find the greatest album humanity has to offer. This series will be dedicated to these very albums, as I analyze them thoroughly to figure out what the greatest album truly is. Today, we will be looking at Radiohead’s “OK Computer,” released in 1997.
Radiohead is an alternative rock band formed in Oxfordshire, England in 1985, led by vocalist Thom Yorke. Ever since 1993, they have been releasing high-quality material that, to this day, still has not lost its touch of the original sound.
New technology lets Spotify choose songs based on user moods
In the battle between streaming services for greater personalisation offerings, Spotify has new technology to identify a user’s mood.
First filed in 2018 and finally patented on January 12, according to the BBC, the speech recognition tech allows Spotify to suggest songs based on the user’s emotional state (sad, happy, stressed, vindictive), gender, accent or age.
Age can be “roughly” determined based on “a combination of vocal tract length and pitch”.
The patent claimed it can even create a playlist based on detecting by background noises, for example, if the user is alone, with others or at a party.

A demo featuring “raw”, unheard tracks from the band which would go on to become Radiohead is going under the hammer.
The cassette was recorded when the group was called On A Friday.
They met at Abingdon School in Oxfordshire and took their name from the day of the week when they rehearsed.
The demo, which is expected to fetch £2,000, features six tracks, three of which have not been heard before, auctioneers said.
