Have you ever watched Jurassic Park and wondered, Man, I wish I could go there? Well hold on, metro Detroit, because the dinosaurs are here.
Starting Friday, the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi will host Dino Safari: A Drive Thru Adventure. Through July 5 visitors can mingle with more than 40 moving dinosaurs including Triceratops, T. rex and more. Just beware: You might have to drive through earthquakes, avoid battling dinosaurs, or help save a baby dinosaur s life.
While visitors drive past animatronic dinosaurs, the in-car audio guide provides an interactive story line to follow, alongside scientific facts about where dinosaurs lived, how they moved and ate, and how they evolved. The event also offers each visitor a survival pack, which includes a scavenger hunt for the event, a coloring activity and other surprises.

With weather forecasts promising a long overdue warm up, Central New Yorkers should be able to get outside and enjoy some fun, spring activities this weekend.
You can learn about Onondaga Lake bird species on a bird walk, visit a pop-up food truck event at the Inner Harbor, participate in the monthly Folksmarch at Breitbeck Park, and take in some exciting auto racing and demolition derbies at Fulton Speedway.
The Fairgrounds will be having a Dino Safari dinosaur drive-thru show and the family favorite baseball movie, “The Sandlot” will be shown on the big screen.

Something prehistoric this way comes beginning next month when Fox Valley Mall in Aurora welcomes more than 40 animatronic beasts as part of an immersive, drive-through dinosaur exhibition.
The family-friendly, COVID-19 safe Dino Safari featuring tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops and microraptors opens May 7 and runs through May 23 at 195 Fox Valley Center Drive, Aurora.
Developed by Imagine Exhibitions in collaboration with paleontologist Dr. Gregory Erickson, the exhibition is accompanied by an audio guide detailing dinosaurs evolution, behavior and habitat.
